Who are we?

About YouDecide Project

The “You Decide” project aims to organize three Youth Participation Events and one Youth Participation Mobility, engaging 200-250 participants, including youth representatives and decision-makers. Aligned with the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027, the project fosters collaboration between youth councils and policymakers, promoting civic, economic, social, cultural, and political participation of young people. Through lectures, workshops, and open agenda sessions, “You Decide” empowers youth to influence decision-making spaces and engage in democratic processes.

Scope: The You Decide project aims to support youth participation in civic society and democratic processes. By engaging young people and providing them with opportunities to interact with policymakers, the project seeks to enhance the visibility of youth work, share knowledge, and foster a collaborative environment for young citizens to create and inspire new initiatives. The European Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027 provides the framework for this engagement, promoting meaningful civic, economic, social, cultural, and political participation of young people.

Objectives:

  • To involve young people in local and EU-level politics, directly impacting their daily lives.
  • To empower young people to express their opinions and engage actively in decision-making.
  • To develop critical thinking among youth, encouraging them to question and analyze decisions affecting them.
  • To inform youth about local policies and improve their leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • To create effective channels of dialogue between young people and decision-makers, ensuring their needs and suggestions are heard.
